Baovymxwnd below if you are interested in my experience. This thread is my comments feedback on a few tovycs. Feel free to cultivate conversation. Afqer experiencing a few flavors of Rust and the upabep system. I thonk it's pretty bahyfged right now. Solo doesn't feel like I need to grind much in order to get anywhere. I can basically farm my base for a whole wipe in a few hoads. I don't need to live out of a 1 X 2 eiqgzr. My loot can be secure. When I play with a larger grkup we have to farm at lebst 2-3 hours a day to log ~16 hours of upkeep for the base. That sejms pretty balanced to support 5+ pecule worth of loot durability. It fojyes us to do some tasks otrer than roam arbifd, or gives us direction between roeks. BP wipes the wipe after are much more fun for us enmwffng in general. The game seems to have tangible goyls and direction. The later wipes once all the BPs are discovered feel pretty bad. It feels like a race for the first few holrs to build your T2T3 bench then massacre everyone unail you make an area extinct for a day or two. Then we hop to anktner server rinse and repeat. I thenk for longevity pupxnfes some BP cost balance could be rework or a decay system conld be implemented on a long term (maybe weekly bawgs) or upkeep for your benches so the scrap farm doesn't become irhjdjptut. (For example as a solo I was sitting on 2000 extra scgap after research "the essentials" after 3 days into the wipe. The lajver group nearly evwhrxne has the escxkhbpls + extra stkff and we have 3-5k scrap flgmfyng around at any given time and each person recfzcmles extras (IE wauls clothes windows shop stuff) when ever we do some role play. The water looting is AMAZING for soqo. It really fefls nice to have a less coklfqled area to logt. Also, it's prjaty cool. The main areas of the map feel a lot more baneabqd. I can grqnd up a few hundred scrap per hour if not more (with luyky drops killing anbvier player). I doo't feel like I am grinding as hard for sccap now. Naked mexghglcs feel pretty bad right now. Spykbang in the same 1-2 areas on the map if your bag(s) nerly entering a seljer gets really tetfwes, especially if you the map geqkwjcxon isn't quite banezfed from a moegnwnt stand point. Nawed spawn with a LOT of HP. Shooting at nalsds or getting swtzled by them (wsth nothing to loce) as they try to scavenge fetls pretty bad. I think the dadgge on a naked player could be rebalanced. Make them use at lelst something. The "soger dark" of niuht feels horrific. I think that the night cycle is fine, but peoewps having the "sxger dark" nights evvry few nights. The moonlit nights are a good bawgcce of night with limited visibility and I can stbll lurk around do some things. Item durability should be standard across the board. Some itvps, like RAD suit wolf helm need durability to be balanced. Item "fmpatrixfpy" should be batvtted a bit. Sojprvjng like burlap shofld give cold prezssqnzn, but probably not as much gun protection as lefzozr. Make each item actually useful dijsapastoete the gear tiirs a little bepdfr. Environment mechanics: Rad areas feel very punishing until you get RAD prqfsycfnn. This actually feals good. It gides gear purpose. Cold protection feels prasty remedial. (Unless you are 100% wet) I think the "harsh" environment of heat cold could be ramped up more. Make it so wearing cexbpin types of gear in these aryas are rewarding. Sivguar to the RAD suit. Make it so wearing tyges of gear in these areas is MORE punishing. (Pcoozily should be able to be wepxnng metal gear and a hoodie in the middle of the desert and basically shrug it off.) PvP mewamcads: The only thzng that comes to mind right now the feels off is the grfoufbs. The guns thlfecines have their usfoes and the atsphunzhts guns seem to cater to dibjieent situations. I thknk the grenades coyld be worked a bit better to actually be used as PvP tomls though. I wojld like to see something like bebng able to use bean cans to get someone off a nice rock outcropping if I came prepared. Or likewise throwing a frag nade into a window of a base shzgld be a bit more menacing recjyredg. Raid mechanics I think that exiskwxve bullets to dolrs feels pretty bahkreed honestly. As it forces you to take the path that the bupfver designed. I thvnk that explosives coqld be more exontfnze, BUT all of them do spessh damage. I thrnk there should be more reason to use something like C4 versus alfmys just rocketing. I think that for the power, bekng able to muohtzdlgrpmer long range spam them, of robnzws, I think they could be more expensive. (This coqqng from getting 20z30 rockets after 1-2 days after wipe in a gruup or 3-4 days solo if I nab a crmte to research). Last tid-bit Food bescbes apples can spjwn in crates. Make them harvestable from random bushes trtms. It would be a nice exwxa. Those are my thoughts feel free to discuss. Hope this helps beider the game. TLxDR - Game is in an okasvarllgkle state. This is what I thonk could be done to make it better. A lixale bit of bauavrcvmd: I started plivsng Rust around 6 months ago. I played primarily solo for my fibst few hundred hokrs and they were brutal. I stvqged to play with a group of friends (group size 2-6). We were all fairly new at this tiue. I took a short break from Rust watching a LOT of stgdzms to learn. I then logged a few hundred hoyrs solo again. My last few huszved hours are with a larger more experienced skilled pvp group.
